How to Choose a Plastec Blower Series

The first three products below are made from polypropylene, a thermal plastic that is inherently highly chemical, corrosion, and UV resistant. These high-quality products literally have no metal in the airstream. Best of all, when compared to stainless steel, they are half the weight and half the cost. Most models are available in Explosion Resistant (XPFC) - Carbon Impregnated Polypropylene (CIP).

Other considerations when choosing a Plastec series blower:

1. Electrical Phase (Single or Three)
2. Static Pressure InWG (Inches of Water)
3. Flow CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute)
4. Inlet size - within reason, a reducer or coupler may be utilized to adapt to smaller or larger size

Plastec series: A Polypropylene Centrifugal Fan that is available in 6 inlet sizes, from 5” up to 23.50” with a performance range of .25" to 8" of Static Pressure and flow rate of 50 to 9,425 CFM

Storm Series: A Polypropylene Centrifugal Fan that was designed for higher static and lower flow applications. They are available in 4 inlet sizes, from 3” to 6”.  With performance a range of 4" to 12" static pressure and flow rate of 15 to 1,325 CFM.

Jet Series: A Polypropylene Inline Centrifugal Fan with an integrated weather hood is an up-blast discharge that has a performance range of .5" to 8.75" of static pressure and a flow rate of 175 to 2,100 CFM.  Primarily roof mounted, this series can also be vertically or horizontally mounted with a wall bracket.

316 Electropolished Stainless Steel series: Our stainless-steel products go through an additional step of electropolishing. This removes any imperfections, thereby making them easy to clean and decontaminate. It also enhanced the corrosion protection making them genuinely rust-free. They are available in a variety of sizes, including forward curve and backward inclined impellers.  Welded with no seams, the performance range is from .25" to 10" static pressure and flow rate of 50-4,375 CFM.  Stainless and explosion resistant motors are available.
